Helpful Information

• Renewals are processed in date order received. Licensees can submit renewals up to 90 days before the license expiration date. To be considered on-time, renewal documents and fees must be postmarked no later than midnight of the four-year license expiration date. If all renewal requirements are properly submitted, B&P Code section 10156.2 allows for continued operations under the existing license after its expiration date unless notified otherwise by DRE.

• To confirm DRE received your request, check your bank/credit card statement to see if and when your fee was processed. If you need to contact us, have this information on hand.

• Common reasons for delays:
      • Duplicate applications were submitted
