DRE's Sacramento Headquarters Office is moving this summer. Effective July 8, the new address will be: 651 Bannon Street, Suite 500, Sacramento, CA 95811. Due to DRE's Sacramento Office relocation, DRE's Sacramento Examination Center will be closed starting June 24, 2024 and expected to reopen at the new May Lee State Office Complex location on July 22. Examinees are welcome to explore DRE's other four exam center locations during this transition period. We appreciate your patience during our relocation! |
One of the key ways the Department of Real Estate (DRE) regulates the California's real estate industry
is through examinations for salesperson and broker applicants.
DRE administers tests at five exam centers around the state:
- Sacramento (closed June 24 - July 22 (tentative reopening date))
- Oakland
- Fresno
- La Palma (Orange County)
- San Diego
Before applying for a real estate license, applicants must meet education and experience requirements.
